School Of Hindu Studies is Coming!

Sab ko Pranaam! (Greetings to all)
We are excited to announce that the next School of Hindu Studies (SHS) will start January 18th 2010. The School of Hindu Studies is a three month training program with an option of doing a one year internship for UofN credit available. We encourage students without School of Frontier Missions or equivalent to come before December 2009 for a short immersion into India and an introduction to the people group approach of church planting.
The School of Hindu Studies is designed for those who desire to be involved in long-term work with Hindu communities. Our goal is to prepare you for effective cross-cultural ministry to Hindus by giving you the tools you need to accomplish this task.
The school focuses on different topics such as “Developing Indigenous Music and Worship”, “Redemptive Analogies & Storytelling”, “Understanding Hindu Worldview and Society”, “Sharing Good News Contextually”, “Contextual Satsang Stapana (establishment of home fellowships)” etc.
The school provides an bi-lingual environment of English and Hindi, in which a motivated student could begin his/her language study. SHS students from outside India are encouraged to do their internship within the Language and Culture Program.
For more info on the school take a look at the training page
And be sure to download an SHS application if you are interested in doing the school!
